- Right click on the full feature driver file downloaded from here, then click on the ‘Run as administrator’ option in the menu.
- Note down the address of the folder where setup files are being extracted and wait for the setup files to unzip on your computer.
- Inside the driver folder, find and right click the ‘Setup’ executable file, then choose the ‘Run as administrator’ option in the menu.
- In the Welcome screen of the setup wizard, click on the ‘Next’ button to proceed.
- In the License Agreement screen, click on the ‘Yes’ button to accept the Canon Software License Agreement.
- In the Printer Installation screen, choose the ‘Install with USB Connection’ option, then click on the ‘Next’ button.
- You will be informed that driver installation cannot be stopped once it has started. Click on the ‘Yes’ button to proceed.
- Wait for the copying of the driver files onto your computer.
- Connect your Canon printer with your computer and switch on your printer. Wait for the setup program to detect your printer, then follow the instructions as they appear on the screen to complete the driver installation process.
