Q: I have connected a 3330dn printer to my XP32 pc and downloaded the driver ACI admin exe but when I try to add printer Dell does not appear in the list of manufaturers. It does not seem to be recognised by windows when connected via USB. Printer prints paper menu OK Please can you help? Thanks, John.

A: To double-check the detection issue, please follow the following instructions.

Open device manger and check, if any activity seen while connecting and disconnecting the printer's USB cable to the computer. (Connect the printer and disconnect it many time for checking). Please see the below screenshot for more detail:

If the printer doesn't detect then you should try following steps.

1. Make sure your printer is turned ON.
2. Make sure the printer USB cable's both ends are connected properly.
3. Switch the USB port. (Plug your printer's USB cable to the another USB port of the computer.)
4. Power drain your printer.
5. If the above steps did fix the printer detection issue, then we suggest you to please replace your printer's USB cable.
6. After that, use this driver to install the printer.
