Linotronic imagesetter 500 is a very old multi-functional laser printer. As it is a very old printer, it might be difficult to download its latest version driver. How to Install Linotronic imagesetter 500 Printer Driver in Windows
Specifications:
Step 1: Download this driver from the download section above. After download, click on “extract to”.
Step 2: The drivers will be extracted in a folder in the same location. Open up this folder.
Step 3: You will see GTP290v294.INF folder.
Step 4: Click on the Start button and then click on settings.
Step 5: Click on “Devices”
Step 6: Click on “Printers & Scanners” and then click on the “Plus” icon (Add a printer or scanner) and then click on “The printer that I want isn’t listed”
Step 7: The installation wizard will open up. Click on “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings” and then click on Next.
Step 8: Select the preferred port and then click on Next. I suggest you to select USB001, USB002 and USB003 port and the click on next.
Step 9: Click on “Have Disk” and click on browse.
Step 10: Select the GPT290v294.INF file and click on Open.
Step 11: Then click on OK.
Step 12: Select the model number: “GTP-290 Ver.2.94” and click on Next.
Step 13: Click on Next.
Step 14: It will give you another popup, click on “Install this driver software anyway” to start installtion process. If you are not getting this message, it means your “Driver Signature Enforcement” option has been enabled – you will have to disable it from Windows startup. Step 15: Choose the first option “do not share this printer” and click on Next.
Step 16: The printer Linotronics 500 has been installed successfully.

It is a laser printer with HeNe 633nm laser type with up to 2400-2540 dpi print resolution. This printer supports 530mm film/paper size.
