This Canon inkjet uses one black and one color cartridge. The standard Black (PG-745) and Color (CL-746) ink cartridges have page yield of nearly 180 and 110 pages respectively. The high yield Black (PG-745XL) and Color (CL-746XL) ink cartridges can print up to 300 and 190 pages respectively.

My Pixma MG2470 keep blinking 4 times indicating error 1687 even i’m using original fine catridge PG-745 (Black). Discarded catridge few times,clean up the gold connector,setting the printer preference to ‘Black Only’ but still got the same result.The color slot i left empty.
