it’s been frustrating, because everybody online is just offering this downloader for a downloader…
…which is a pain when you’re trying to just install drivers on an offline rig (and nobody has the drivers).
Yes, this is a real pain for me as well. And from now, I have decided that I’ll keep all the offline drivers on our server as well. So that if the company gets removed from their database then I can use my sever one. Thanks for giving me a chance to make this decision. Have a great weekend!!
i’m not sure you understand: the direct link is itself that you mention is itself a program that requires an internet connection to unpackage and that then downloads another program which requires an internet connection, which then fetches the files.
so you aren’t linking to the files, even directly from canon:
you are linking to a downloader that’s on canon’s website that downloads another download to get the files from canon.
i have the actual driver files if you need it, since it doesn’t seem to be online anywhere and canon is also hiding it.
just shoot me an email and i’ll respond with a zip of the actual files.

I’m so sorry for the inconvenience. The canon has changed the offline driver installer to an online one. This type of installer downloads the latest driver automatically from the Internet and then starts the installation process afterwards. If you have a driver in zip format, then that would be great if you can share it with us. We’ll update that one instead of the direct link. Please attach the driver’s zip file to this email reply. canon is down right now and why should anybody EVER come here to download a downloader from you, that then requires you to download a different downloader, that then downloads the files… from canon directly… which doesn’t work if they aren’t hosting them to begin with?
