In this case, I would suggest to plug the printer into another USB port on your computer and start over the installation process. Alternatively, install the printer manually using its basic driver.
Also in my part i was buy new printer 3x installing Canon pixma MG2570s in my laptop always failed,and cd drive is different from the cover of the printer MG2570s/but on CD MG25070S,WHY?
Most of the printer uses its main-series printer driver because both printers have the same motherboard (Card). So don’t get confused with the CD’s model number. Most of the time CD has main-series model number drivers.
For example, if a main-series printer model number is Canon: MG2070 then its child-printer’s model number would be MG2072, MG2075, MG2078. So with all these printers, MG2070 (main-series) driver will work. If you have a main series driver then use it.
