Method 1: Install Canon PIXMA MP170 Printer with help of CD/DVD (Automatic Wizard)
Method 1 Requirements:
- Need one CD/DVD Drive installed on your computer.
- Need a Software/Driver CD Disk of Canon PIXMA MP170, which came with the printer.
- Need a USB cable that will connect your printer to your computer. It came with the printer.
Follow the steps to install the Canon PIXMA MP170 printer with CD/DVD Drive.
- Turn it on your computer, which you need to install with a Canon PIXMA MP170 printer on it.

Thank you for contacting us about this matter,
We would like to explain you that windows 8, 8.1 and windows 10 drivers are not available on canon’s official website. Canon website stated that “drivers are not available for windows 8, 8.1 and windows 10, however you can use windows 7 printer driver on these os, that should work on these latest operating systems”. So you can use windows 7 drivers for windows 8, 8.1 and 10 Os.
