I am working through installing the 3010cn on Win10. Is this workaround only able to provide local printing via USB, or should it work for network printing also (the 3010cn has an ethernet port on it).
If it has an Ethernet port then it will surely work on your network. You need to select the ethernet option while installing it on your computer.
I finally got the printer installed on Windows 10, but when I sent something to print it shows in queue under status, but nothing prints. What did I miss or do wrong.

I have been trying to install this printer for several hours then and it still does not work.

These downloads do not have a exe file to intiate driver so not much useful!
These all drivers are the official drivers. These all drivers are in EXE file format but it only extracts the driver’s files to a specific location (C:\dell\drivers\R167002). There is not installer to install the printer automatically. You have to install this extracted driver manually using “add a printer” option in the “Devices and Printers” page. Then choose “have disk” button and give this path “C:\dell\drivers\R167002” and then dell 3010 driver will be listed there. Select the driver and click on next for further installation process.
I tried for 4 hours last night – the printer is listed but does not print and when I go to printer preferences nothing shows and I get an error

Yes I used USB001 as it was the only option. I did notice when I extracted the file it only showed up a a zip file and not RAR File that was in the video

I can see the printer on in my list of printers but when I hit test page it comes up with “the arguments are invalid”

I just deleted the printer and started again and iwhen I hit print test page and checked the queue there was nothing there.

Also in the power drain it says to hold the power button on to 30 seconds, 3010 has a toggle power button so there is no way of holding a toggle button on
Then you’ll have to drop this step. Instead of a power drain, you can make your printer shutdown for at least 10 minutes.

I need the Windows 10 download for my dell 3010 printer
Dell 3010cn printer doesn’t support windows 10 OS, according to Dell 3010 supported operating system list.
Is there any work around or is this printer basically useless now that I have Windows 10?
Sorry to say but Windows 10 drivers is not available for this printer.
Follow the following steps:
1) Download the dell open printer drivers from the below given link and install it on your computer by double-clicking on it: https://www.dell.com/support/home/in/en/inbsd1/drivers/driversdetails?driverId=T8CX0
2) Add another printer (local) manually with this 3010cn basic driver.
3) After that, I was able to choose the 3010cn for printing and it worked.
There are some issues occurs like not printing from several applications, in this case make sure the printer is turned on before the pc, otherwise the printer won’t be recognized. But knowing those things, it’s definitely better than buying a new printer.
