Kyocera ECOSYS M3145dn Driver Download & Install for Windows / Mac / Linux

Kyocera ECOSYS M3145dn is a copier machine for large scale offices and for commercial use. In offices, you can use it as a copier machine and network printer as well. To set up this printer on your local network, you will need to install the latest version driver of this printer.

How to Install Kyocera ECOSYS M3145dn on PC

In order to set up this printer on your local network or through USB cable, you will have to just follow the given step-by-step instructions. In this way, you can install this printer easily without any error. So please follow the steps:

Step 1: After downloading the driver from the above given download section, unzip the driver file by right-clicking on it and click on Extract to.

Step 2: It is now extracting the driver files into a folder, so please wait for that.

Step 3: It will create a folder in the same location where you have extracted the driver files and then open up that folder.

Step 4: Open up the subfolder “KXdriver”.

Step 5: After that, go to the folder 32-bit or 64-bit according to the operating system version of your computer. In the folder you will see lots of files, including “oemsetup.inf” file. This is the main basic driver file which you will require while installing this printer manually on your computer. So please remember the location of this folder, we will use this file later while installing it manually. Close this folder for now.

Step 6: Let’s start installing the printer manually. To do that, please click on the Start button and click on Settings.

Step 7: Click on devices.

Step 8: Then click on Printer and Scanners from the left side pane and from the right side pane you need to click on Add a printer or scanner.

Step 9: After a few seconds later, you will get an option, The printer that I want is not listed. You need to click on that.

Step 10: Now you will get a manual installation wizard. You just need to select the last option, Add a local printer, and then click on Next.

Step 11: In the next screen, it will ask you to select the printer port where your printer is connected right now. If your printer is connected through an Ethernet cable, then you will see a network port here along with the IP address. If you are connecting this printer through a USB cable, then you will see a USB001 or USB002. I recommend you to select USB001 and click on Next.

Step 12: After that click on Next

Step 13: Now it is asking for the driver. So you need to select that OEM setup dot INF file here. To do that, you need to just click on Have Disk.

Step 14: Click on browse after that.

Step 15: Go to the extracted folder and select the file OEMSetup.INF and then click on Open.

Step 16: Click on OK after that

Step 17: Now you will get a driver list in front of you, simply select the M3145dn model number from the list and then click on next.

Step 18: On the next screen, click on Next.

Step 19: Now it is installing the drivers, so please wait for that and after completed click on Next.

Step 20: Select the option Do not share with printer and then click on Next.

Step 21: Now please click on Finish. The printer has been installed successfully. Before clicking on Finish, you can click on “Print a Test Page” button to print the test page. After that, click on Finish to complete the installation process.

Step 22: Go to the printers page by clicking on the “Start button” and then “Settings” and then “Devices” and then finally click on “Printer and Scanner” from the left side pane. You will see the printer M3145dn listed here. As you can see in the next screenshot, the Kyocera M3145DN printer is listed, it means the printer has been installed successfully.

ECOSYS M3145dn printer is made by the Kyocera company. It is a A4 size monochrome laser printer – a multifunctional copier with the copy, print and scan functions. It has a large LCD color display on the top of the printer, so that you can navigate the printer settings easily. As this is a multifunction printer, it has an inbuilt Cortex A9 1.2 Ghz processor with 1 GB RAM to handle multitasking – multiple print, scan and copy commands. This printer supports Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11, and Linux operating systems.

This printer has two cassette type input paper trays. You can place two different types of paper in the input tray, which means you can place A4 size paper in tray 1 and letter size paper in tray 2. It has one flatbed scanner on the top with ADF function and the auto-duplex function which made it a complete copier machine.

As it is a laser printer, it uses semiconductor laser technology, which can give you 45 pages per minute output on A4 size paper with a resolution of 600 x 600 DPI. In fast mode, it can give you 1200 DPI resolution output, which is extremely good.

It has a flatbed scanner with RADF, an Automatic Document Feeder, with a capacity of 75 pages to process. It can scan a maximum of 60 IPM and minimum 17 IPM in color with a resolution of 600 DPI. While copying you can zoom in by 400% and decrease it by 25%. You will have to do it manually.

As I stated, it has two cassette trays that can hold 250 pages in each tray. Means the total capacity of the pages is 500 pages, plus 100 pages capacity in the multipurpose tray that is placed in the front side of the printer and its ADF can hold 75 pages as well.

There are two connectivity options available in this printer. The first one is Ethernet. You can connect this printer to your local network through the Ethernet cable (network cable). The second option is USB. You can connect this printer directly to your computer through the USB cable. I recommend you to go with the Ethernet connectivity, which is more stable and flexible as well, so that you can print from your WiFi enabled devices like laptop wirelessly.

The maximum power consumption of the printer is 650 watts, and the total weight of the printer is around 22 kgs. The toner that comes with the printer will give you 6000 pages output. After that you will have to replace it with the TK-3165 toner cartridge, which will give you 12,500 pages output.
