How to install Samsung SCX-3401 Driver

A: There are two methods to fix this issue.
Method 1: Reset Printer.
1) Do power drain your printer ones.
2) Do a color copy from your printer itself. If it prints in normal color, then jump to method 2.
3) If the copy print comes in reddish color, then try to reset the printer.
4) After reset, try a color copy again. If it still prints in the red color, then it means a hardware issue in the printer. In this case, contact Samsung support directly.
Method 2: Re-install printer software and scan driver too.

2) After reinstall printer driver, reboot your computer once and let us know the result.

Hi Techstar Rajesh, I am trying to install the SCX-3401 on a Windows 11 PC, and facing a major issue, which I’ve been unable in resolving in the last couple weeks. The issue is that the printer used to work fine with Windows 10, and post the Windows 11 upgrade, when trying to print anything – the print queue says printing and also finished successfully, however nothing prints on the printer. The printer is showing ‘Idle’ in Windows, and not ‘Offline’. The interesting thing is that the Samsung Easy Printer Manager recognizes the printer, is able to adjust the standby and auto sleep power save settings on the printer as well successfully. I am also able to scan pages successfully without any issues. It’s just printing that doesn’t work despite a windows reset, reinstalling all drivers, etc. If there was an error that the print queue showed, it would’ve been easier to resolve, however, with the print queue saying successfully printed and nothing printing, this is a huge puzzle to resolve.
Hi Gautam, the first thing I want to mention is, when the print queue has finished the printing successfully but the printer does not print anything, it seems there might be a problem with the drivers. I have experienced the same with lots of machines and giving driver-conflict solution, it has been fixed.
If you talk about the scanner, the scanner driver is separately installed in the printer. So it might be possible that the scanner is working properly and the printer is not working, it means the printer driver is not installed successfully or not compatible with your latest operating system. Yes, I understand that this type of issue is rare and difficult to solve.
In this case, my suggestion for you is to deal with this issue as a driver-conflict issue. You will have to uninstall the printer’s existing drivers which might be conflicting with the printer hardware and then reinstall the driver with the Manual settings using its INF drivers.
To deal with the driver-conflicting issues, I suggest you to uninstall all the drivers from the control panel from the file explorer and remove its folder and then remove its registry entries from the Regedit and after that restart the computer and power-drain the printer and then finally reinstall the drivers with the manual setting using its INF drivers.
